Volksmarch Ruck

Tuesday:

Warmup: 135-155 sets

Find 1 Rep Max (1RM) of Power Clean
185-195-205-215F-215F- Ran out of time...

SQ PT 10 mins after Power Cleans:
Run about 2.75 Miles. I added: every 2 mins, do 20 pushups.
220 Pushups (maybe more?) and I think it was done in about 18-22 mins.

Afterwards: 5 Rounds (3@135;2@155BW) of Power Clean-Front Squat-Lunge(R)-Lunge(L)-Push Jerk.
Still havn't thought of a name for this.


Thursday: Strength (suppose to be Swim but the pool is closed)

Completed at 1:55 (hour:min). 55lb Ruck. Wearing Vibram Five Fingers.
Afterwards, I realized I need to buy new VFFs. Wore a hole through a couple toes. That's what happens when you use them for a year in mud, sand, snow, ice, dirt, concrete, asphalt, etc.

Next... Day 97/100 Burpees.

Memorial Weekend.

Four day weekend for Remembrance of all those that have gave there life away.
During this four days there will be CrossFit, Burpees, Beer, Grilling, GeoCache, Hiking, and Driving Eva!



Day 1. Friday.

Reps of 21-15-9-3-6-12-18 of BURPEES
After each round, complete 1.5 pood Kettlebell Swings
Time completed. 9:55mins followed by 35 more Burpees in 2:18mins.
That completes Day 88/100 of burpee challenge. (119 for the day)

Next, Beer and Brats!


Day 2. Saturday.

Black Hills, Nemo Road. Very Fun.
89/100 Burpees
Guitar Hero/CoD: Black Ops
BBQ and Beer
Installed New Shift Weight. SURE Countershift. Very Nice.

Day 3. Sunday.

RAIN. :(
90/100 Burpees.


Day 4. Monday.

Just getting ready to start work again.
Found some lots for the stunt show.
91/100 Burpees. Getting Closer.


For a four day weekend, I didn't get to do as much as I wanted to. No hiking or geocache completed. Rained so much during this time. Funny thing is, Alaska has 85 degree sunny weather.

Time to go to bed and prepare for tomorrows CrossFit WOD:

First-Hulk-SWIM-Smash-Burpee

This week was a great week, so I decided to start logging my workouts in this blog.

Monday, Wednesday, Fridays are Squadron/Unit PT days. So these days are hard to judge whether or not I'll get a good workout.

Monday: (forgot time)
3 Rounds
Run 3 Laps (800 Meters)
Perform 25m Lunge
30 Leg Lifts
30 Pushups

Tuesday: Strength
Reps of 5-5-5-3-3-3-1 of Shoulder Press. Started at 115lbs. End at 145. 1RM 155
Reps of 2-2-2-2-2 of Squats. Started at 165. End at 305.
Then 5 Rounds of: 135lbs PowerClean-FrontSquat-Lunge(R)-Lunge(L)-PushJerk (1Round)
Then 2 Rounds of: 135lbs OverHeadSquats (OHS) 6 Reps
GREAT DAY THIS WAS!

Day 87 Burpees of 100 Day Burpee Challenge.

So judging from this week, I have set 2 new goals for the following month ontop of the burpees.
1. Perform minimum of 5 Rounds of 135lbs PowerClean-FrontSquat-Lunge(R)-Lunge(L)-PushJerk (1Round) for every workout as a warmup or cooldown. (some call it a Cash in or Cash out) I need to come up with a name for this. It is way too long to type out each time. Ideas?
2. Month of June is SWIM WODS. Every Thursday I will be doing a swim WOD. Found out I have a new weakness to conquer... FML.


Now ready for the FOUR Day Memorial Weekend. There will be Hiking, BBQ, Beer, Fast Cars, Street Bikes, and GEOCache. Not all at once of course.
